GARDENS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PART OF MY LIFE
My interest in gardens started long before I became a garden designer.
I grew up in South Africa, where my parents ran a wholesale growing nursery. Being surrounded by plants from an early age gave me a grounding in horticulture that has stayed with me throughout my career.
I later trained in garden design at KLC School of Design, in the grounds of Hampton Court Palace, bringing together that horticultural knowledge with professional garden design.
DESIGNING GARDENS FOR REAL LIFE
For me, good garden design isn't about following a particular style or trend.
It's about creating a garden that feels right for the home and, most importantly, for the people who are going to use it.
That's why I spend time getting to know you and your garden before I begin designing. You don't need to arrive with all the answers. Part of my job is helping you work out what your garden could become.
EXPERIENCE FROM DESIGN TO BUILD
My experience extends beyond the drawing board. Having previously run the landscaping side of my business, I understand the practicalities of turning a design into a finished garden.
